hi guys,we have been in talks with the e/a about a new entry in at the bottom of hunters lodge, around 233 peg, thats 15 pegs from the bungalows, this may cost us up to £6,000,thats too much for us to pay out in one go ,we agreed at the delegates meeting to put a levy on the matches on the ouse of £1 per peg,for society and club matches,at hunters lodge and linton only,we also asked for individual donations from clubs/members ,these will be receipted and should the deal fall through donations will be repaid. this money will be held in a separate account and will not be used for any other schemes.if any of you feel flush and want to donate a large part of this we will name the new entry after you or your chosen name,i have set the ball rolling with £25 each from babs and myself, dig deep if you use that water its for the matchmen to pay but all can make a donation.stan..

ron fearnley delegate for robin hood, reported at his club meeting tonight and came away with a donation of £100 towards the new road fund, not bad when they have'nt fished a match on the venue for fifteen years. THANKS LADS.

Hello Stan. Regarding new entry at Linton. Of all members we've got probably 2000 plus I'm sure anyone of them would not object to donating £2 to £3 each towards new entry if they are proper members. Me myself I agree to paying £1 OR £2 extra on match fees cause I go on most matches and I feel all anglers that go week in week out its unfair to even ask them for further donations. I know a lot of members dont give a toss about us river anglers but we are all members regardless what and we should support each other commercial anglers or river anglers. Thanks. Mayoman.

higuest/maYO,firstly look at the results thread if you think linton dose not fish,we will run out of pegs if it keeps like that,57 on the match yesterday, word gets round, they are the biggest river matches in the north, more will come i am sure with better accsess, this was the first fishable river this year,me i had 3 dace 66 roach on the pole for 7lbs 13 oz,got beat by 1oz for a double default section win, must try harder,i asked the anglers on one of the matches if they were prepared to pay £1 to pay for the new entry, not one said no,that was put to the last delegates meeting ,and agreed, the matchmen will pay for the new entry and donations are comming in,john turton put £30 in from the fox ac,and himself and [cop for this] dave miles put £100 into the kitty as a personal donation, well done dave ,rally round you matchmen, more of the same and we will have what we want,stan..

Hi Stan. Good to see a bit of money coming in. Maybe during close season we could organise some fund raising matches on some ponds if we can get on some. Just a suggestion and support from the anglers that attend our river matches.
