Just returned from my first session targetting barbel on the ouse. Arrived at 10 a.m with a blue sky and bright sunshine. The river was at NSL so I didn't expect much. I chose a likely looking swim with some shade and first cast the tip pulled round and I was into my first ouse barbel of about 4lb. I then proceeded to catch 5 more all from the same peg before 2.30. The biggest two went 6lb 4oz and 7lb 0oz. What a session! I can't wait to return to the ouse.
