Went to watch the match at Kippax last night, and ive got to say it was one of the best matches in terms of field. and result, with either one of probably 10 anglers in with a chance of winning going into the last hour. steve Pearson, dave Pollit, dave Sharpe, andy Stoner,Frankie(goes to kippax)paul Clarke, and a few others were in the race right up to the last, the spoils going eventually to Andy Stoner with over 63lb and winning by 4lb odd. a great result from i think a venue 1st timer, bad luck to steve pearson who lost his fish in the last hour, otherwise im sure he would have smashed the venue record, which if im not mistaken is still held by frim. ps well done to the raper, for catching the venues resident (solo) skimmer ;D

skim, results like that are better than one bloke getting a hundred plus and the rest not in the race isnt it? its good to see people like dave pollit traveling from manchester to fish an evening match in leeds, the first time a field of that class fish for 5hrs my record will get broken no problem! some of the bigger fish that we stocked have put the thick end of a pound on in four months so if we keep the lake in good nick the weights should just get better n better, we need to do something about the spectator problem though what do you think? frim PS i wonder why rapes fished for skimmers with all them carp in his peg

I agree steve, difficult one about spectators mate, i was one last night! think if common sense prevails then all should be ok, however the cars behind peg one and two need sorting out. Maybee a sign to say keep low when on top of the bank??? At the moment noone seems to be catching "down the side" with the exeption of the end pegs (1 and 14 i think ) so maybe keeping people from getting to close to these pegs. Its a case of trying to strike a balance between keeping the friendly attmosphere that currently sxists, and being fair to the competetors who pay their money..

Once top car park is finished and in use the disabled car park area currently being utilised will have restriction posts put in to prevent cars sitting on the skyline.

ask the anglers if they have a problem making there way from the 1st c/pk were the office is,and just put a sign up on the 2nd c/pk at peg1 saying match in progress,i drew peg1 a few weeks ago and the cars behind me did go through my mind with unloading gear and doors being shut and so on but didnt have a problem with spectators really andy barker came and sat behind out of the way and frim and his dad were watching from a distance as skimmer says common sense you dont need to be ontop of the guys.all that said sean didnt have a bad nite on peg1 last nite in fact all the top ten anglers were pegged all over.the road that leads to the lake needs attention anyway it will only get worse if used.
