i think your best bet first is to fish a few open matches before even thinking about trying to get in any team.the quality out there these days is very high and to brake in to any big team u need to be framing ,so as i said before try a few open matches first and see how u do against other anglers.a few good matches are the river ouse also at kippax park where there is some good fishing to be had with good anglers u can learn from.

Hey mate, match fishing takes on many different angles, to be considered for a team you should as said above fish a few open matches and try and get onto some matches on the rivers. The key to success in matches is to practice, you get out what you put in really. To be part of a team you must be flexible and be able to adapt. Presume you have fished commercials before and pleasured the rivers? Become familiar with the waters your going to target and there is no reason why after a few tries you can't be getting section wins. Competition is very high, but the only way to get noticed and potentially pick up a club is through competing. Go down to Kippax, I am sure you will be more than welcome, you will learn a hell of a lot just sitting behind an angler quietly and watching what he does, it is what I used to do Massive help!

I've been advised by excellent anglers that this is how they improved themselves. I'll be scoping out a few Kippax matchs over the next few weeks, seeing who and what does the business.
