Well. Mr Topp I know exactly where you mean but as I am allergic to a type of spider I was afraid of entering it.......it looks like an 'old' peg but does look worth it....good luck.

I had my best results using the method feeder at the canal at Woodlesford but I knew where the bream where there. Im gonna take some lobs as well, the blocked of section near the run off looks very Perchie.
Your starting Roxy of early with her own box and pole tell her good luck from me.

Well I did go the river and canal at Thwaites Mill and caught exactly zero but on the plus side I left and went to the Polo and caught a 15lb mirror so all in all a good days outing.

I had did Canal and River at the weekend. Blanked on Saturday on the River (above the weir) and only 2 roach out of the Canal on Sunday. Lure anglers were pulling the odd pike out of the Canal. Was disappointed and surprised as I expected numbers of fish if not necessarily specimens. Saying that I think I could have fished a bit better. I forgot my catapult which meant I had to restrict my range when float fishing. I don't buy in to the Predation argument but even I looked accusingly at the 5 Cormorants roosting on the Pilon above the river ? Sent from my C6603 using proboards

Well the original sign (knostrop flood bridge, at the top of the island...upstream) starts there on the river side. Butis debatable as some sayno and some say yes. I go by the signage and the club maps. HENCE wen I fish or walk down there I always ask people to see if they have a membership book unless I already know them with the club.
