After I didn’t get a bite last week I thought I would give my “banker” spot a go for the first time this year but I didn’t even get a munched maggot. Every visit last year resulted in good numbers of roach or dace (until 14:00?) plus plenty of nuisance!!!! trout and baby barbel but nowt showed. Aint fishing odd?

I was down at woodlesford yesterday......i was bagging up on roach and perch and i tried the lift method for the first time and caught a tench....roundabout 4lb mark. Did catch summat big but it broke my 5lb line....guess it was a pike seeing as i was using a worm.

The society length of the R. Aire at Thwaites Mill has received a stocking of barbel today, they were 500 to 600 fish at 6 to 7 inch, this is part of the E.A restocking program and are free of charge to the society. Our thanks go to the fisheries officiers of the E.A for their assistance.
Regards Graham
