It's time this was re stocked with Carp and turned back into a night fishery,,,
A lot of people I know miss this,,,
Rekon you could corner a specific type of market with this water with direction sticking and hard will,,,,,

Sorry Jimmy we will not be able to restock with anything at 'polo' for a minimum of two years starting in January 2016 and the pond will be monitored for four years

Well that gives you time to get things in order,,. You have kippax complex for matches,, You have caterick for matches good venue I here,, You have Knotty for night fishing You have wintersett for the clinically insane,,, I think the club would do well having polo pond as another night fishery where catching a decent size carp is doable,,, most the pits I fish start to shut down this time of year I dunno where the carp go but they don't feed lol,,,, So me and many others go off to day tickets ive just paid £50 for 48 hours fishing,,, on a 4 acre fishery with 200 carp in,,, it was a hell hole won't be going again lol this is money the club could get If they filled the gap,,,,, There's a fair few mentioned to me in conversation how they miss polo pond,,, Day tickets are getting ridiculously expensive,,, there All turning £25 and more,,, a weekend away with bait fuel and so on is costing us £120 Club could really do well with another carp day/night venue if properly set out right,,,

I don't get this "4 acres with 200 fish" lark. Is the idea to catch them every day ? That's how they get mouths like the pictures of the ones you posted the other day. Cheers Andy

Most carp waters use boilys now it's the match venues that ruin it with pellets..,,,
And NODDYS that's give them bad mouths using barbless hooks,,,
Whatever happens to it, needs to be restored to a good fishery,,,, whichever way it goes,,,
Just thought be nice to have a carp water,, what offers chance of a run,,, plenty of kids taking up the sport they don't want silverfish and poxy bream,, silverfish always do best on carp waters as they don't get targeted for and they get big,,,

well kids need to learn the basics of fishing not sat in a bivvy waiting to hear a beeping noise then dragging a fish in without playing them theres enough of them waters to fish anyway and id of thought polo was a bit small for 3 rods going in all over the place

Easily solved, give it a two rod limit per angler. BOF

Polo has had 90 to 100% of it's carp killed this year by khv. However it is absolutely packed with silvers, ( totally unaffected by khv! ), however the pond will be under restrictions for a number of years and no carp will be allowed to be stocked until the restrictions are lifted. So the number of rods allowed at the present time is irrelevant. It isn't that type of water now! Enjoy the bream and roach fishing!
Eddie.
