Hi mate you will have no probs on knotford, just dont do anything daft like leave expansive items on display in your car. most of the lads on there are ok, its not mega hard, just locate the fish and bingo. good luck

kk, disappointing to here it. I was down there most days last week, except Wednesday. Its a shame people down know how to use their eqipment to the best of its ability then things like this would be less likely to happen, i know it is enevitable that some day it will happen but there would be slimmer chance if people knew. Anyways . . . . . Anyone go down there over the weekend? I will be making a couple of hours free tomorrow to go for another walk round and hopefully wet a line over the weekend, i hope

Gutted to hear of that big girl being found dead...... And the amount of tackle found with it is appalling. Hard to say for certain who caused it whether members or day ticketers, though I am leaning towards the latter. I would find it hard to believe that one of the regular members up there would fish with such poor terminal tackle. It doesn't take much to make your rig safe does it? I tend to use a running rig to avoid lead clips, but in the event that I do use them I make sure the tail rubber is only just holding the lead on, a quick shake with your hand should make the lead drop off. Sad to see, very sad indeed. Julian

your knotford boys want to keep a close eye on the kind of so called 'carp anglers' that are starting to turn up on our lakes.Describing the loss of this fish as a shame is something of an understatement, see if you can find out how much a 30 pound carp costs, then think about all the pleasure of catching it would mean to the people whove never caught a 30.It takes years for carp to grow to that size, just to be killed by the stupidity of some thingy, probably too pissed to get out of their bivvy in time. There seems to be a number of carp anglers [so called]whose only interest in the sport extends to having a piss up and playing about with toy boats,by all means ave a couple of drinks, but when people start sleeping through runs and putting fish in danger, its time to think about another hobby

Blanker best thing for you to do is get down there and try to find out for yourself. I have walked round there so many times and through talking and watching how much i have found out. so i think the best advice is for you to do the same and fish it when you can. other than that you are going to struggle for advice. Put the effort in and get the rewards, i am hoping for that keep hoping ;-)
