Red eared terapin, or a slider if your statside. Yes they carry salmonela.
Would'nt worry unless it has an arty name and a mask and you have been a bad boy.
you get them turning up on waters all over england, don't think they have ever reproduced succesfully in the UK. I may be wrong though?
They overwinter well for a non native reptile.
I recon you should name it "polock" and watch your fingers if you ever catch it!

Yearbook holders only at Knotford from 1st Jan. First time ever at least 20 carpers present at agm. they backed each other up and made a difference. The baitboat prop got beat, and nightfishing Polo went through. Steve

Can anyone shed any light on the shelled reptile that has been seen on the tree line of both sides of the spit. I thourght it was a frog or maybe a toad getting hit by a crocc but then someone pointed out this creature (slightly rippled with a flat underside) perched on the lower branches of an over hanging bush. Where did it come from? How long has it been in the lake? Should it be cap tured and rehomed with more of its own kind? How big will it grow? And is it true they carry semolina? Maybe I should ask these questions on the specimens who knows what section! Someone please tell me... ... PMSLOL ;D

BWB keys will be needed very soon for the locks on Knotford, can all the lads make an effort to buy one. Should the gates be locked behind you? what do you think? Steve

Yep the gate should be kept locked. No real point having the work done if the gates left open imo.
