RIVER NIDD PROJECT Vice President is to visit the owner of the land at Skip Bridge next week with a view to moving forward on this project. First part of the plan is to install a new gate at the entrance to the field by the café followed by installation of a "hardcore path" across the field and hard standing for a car park near the river. Dave Having fished here quite a bit in the last couple of months and when I have packed up in the evening I have found on several occasions lorries parked across the ramp leading to the gate. These vehicles seem to be parked up for the night and the drivers may be asleep, out looking for a pint somewhere or engaged in some other "activity"!!! Well it is Skip bridge after all. A clear NO PARKING needs putting in place to give us access at all times but I feel a bit apprehensive about using this new car park, we could be blocked in for the night. Cheers Keith. Good point that Keith. I'll try and get the message to Paul (Vice President) in preparation for his visit to the landowner. You could always bang on the window and shout "Yooooohooooo is anybody there " What about the purposed parking spot/access to Hammerton Rushy, has the Farmer been approached/letter sent?

Please if anyone has issues with LDASA put your questions to me, I will ask them on your behalf, I am not supporting this scheme, but we have to have a balanced debate and give equal consideration to all opinions. Keep the valid contributions coming! I see that BAA have now put their objection letter to Harrogate BC. Is it likely that you could submit an official objection on behalf of those members of Leeds who were not consulted on the scheme and are not in favour? Or would you be stepping outside your position to do this. I know many anglers including Graham Park have posted individual objections but just wondering about a sort of 'representative' stance from the Leeds anglers who were not asked - if that makes any sense..or do they just have to speak on their own behalf as already happened...

No I can't really speak for other anglers, they need to put their own objections in. I have put mine in and I know several other Leeds members have too.

What you can read into that mate is that these unelected representative members of ours do not want to/ or are scared of upsetting the status quo so hey ho! if you want to perpetuate this nonsense keep paying your membership. Me I've had enough - I'm embarrassed to be a member of this club now. They have never looked for the opinion of any member that doesn't want to fish the muddy hole that some farmer actually owns and not Leeds. Rushy is a good lad and I enjoyed his company but if eddie and james tingle are your options then I fear for your future - goodbye all! Thrown my book in the bin!

Speaking as someone who only got into the forum stuff because of the hydro and cos we know somebody who lives at the mill, i didn't sign up to get in the middle of a difference of opinion between members. I don't think Leeds has played fair by any of the members. But it a bit like politics, you can either stand on the outside and shout about what you don't like or you can try and get into power and change things - maybe....
