Sad to see that a very experienced ALL ROUND angler feels the need to leave the club over this issue.

i too am sad that geoff is leaving and he talked a lot of sence and has passion, also he has stuck to his guns unlike others, i am leaving leeds no im now staying well maybe etc, i too may leave and rejoin bradford nos 1 or bradford city it all depends on the situation at topcliffe, and if this stupid idea goes ahead , i can see leeds losing loads of members in the future if things dont change, then if they ever get any money from the hydro company it may compensate the loss of revenue from selling far less leeds books, possibly false economy, we shall all have to wait and see what developes.

Personally I don’t see many people leaving simply because most of the unattached book holders don’t know about the issue. Some of the more vocal members may feel the need to resign over it and I applaud their decision but I think next years book sale will show only a small drop in sales.

I think throwing your book in the bin is pointless, it won't do any good. As for members leaving that's up each individual to decide. But I wouldn't jump the gun nothing has been built yet! I haven't seen anyone who opposes the scheme changing their minds and best case scenario is planning is rejected. Next best is if it goes ahead, it will not be as bad as we feared. The biggest worry is once built it's there for good, or should that be bad?
