geof you have missed my point. fact of life that 90% of people who either are members or thinking of joining have no intention of ever helping out on a works party simply being they do not have the time but at the end of the day they still pay their membership subs so you cannot force them to contribute and before you start going on like broken record saying if you don`t contribute we don1t want you as a member then think on sunshine because if everyone in the club left cause they didn`t help out at the party's then there wouldn't be much of a club left. personally i think the more members we have the better and anyone thinking of joining looking through the forums then sees people naming and shaming others for not joining in the party's (cause that is what will be next if people like you get your way)
then they will think twice about joining

Dear me what have you got locked up inside? The fact is I have recently retired and have now got more time on my hands so I can think about helping out. In the past I was at work in the week and the weekend would be with the family.I think you are putting 2 and 2 together to make 5. I don't think the tone of your response was merited nor likely to procure more members.

wooooooooooow lets everyone just calm down a minute this is going out of control, john281 and apples if you want to call each other you are on the wrong forum go away and do it. the pair of you should grow up  we are all in the same club and we should get on or at least try and tollorate each other. we hear what both sides of the ardument have to say and understand there points. lets just end this thread by saying in future if you want to help out do so if you dont thats all so fine lets all just get back to the fishing.........surly you must all agree to that  |

I think the term guest flatters some people. If you have got something to say join the forum. Personally I will not respond anymore to wind-ups from so called guests . Why lurk in the shadows as john281 asks -haven't you the courage to come out from behind your obscurity?
