Richworth blue cheese paste it stinks!! its quite a job getting it out of the tub and on to a bait but once its on its sticks like glue. best way to use it is take required amount out of tub and give it a good roll in flour at home, that makes it easier to tear and roll around your hook bait, its a good barbel/chub bait but it can be very over powering. Richworth do a few other flavours, crab and mussel is my favourate boris is a sucker for it.

To make Cheese paste take approx 250gm of strong cheese, (any will do), and mix with a sheet of Jus-Roll puff pastry mix. To do this simply crumble the cheese onto the surface of the pastry, fold it over, and roll it out flat again. Do it again and again till there is only paste, and there you have it. Put it in a tub, squash the air out, cover it with a sheet of polythene cut from a bag, and keep refrigerated. As long as air doesn't get onto the surface it will keep for weeks. BOF

I have one similar to bofs that does well with chub and barbel. In any amounts use 1/3 danish blue, 1/3 red leicester and 1/3 instant pastry mix .Break into bits then I add some red powdered dye from nutrabaits. Wizz it all in the blender. You can catch all sorts on the stuff. geoff

I find adding any cheese to fresh breadcrumb and wizzed up in her indoors mixer makes a good paste add flavours and colours if you wish.

all i can say is that if u get soft pellets (hallibut are great) add a bit of strong cheese, the stronger the better. 1. flatten the soft pellets 2. Put a pea sized amount of cheese in the middle and roll in the palm of your hand 3. smother some more cheese over the ball and hook onto chosen hook

mite sound funny but its workd for me, i like to experiment. i get a specail formulated pellets that are very soft and are easy to manipulate around a hook without the need to drill. its more like a paste to a certain extent. and it comes in pots with about 20 in.....costs be a few quid but its always worth it, specailly with squid and pineapple glug.

Made some new paste for this season from crushed halibut pellets and anchovies. It smells good enough for the most discerning of barbel and chub. Making your own paste keeps 1. you ahead of the game 2. more money in your pocket 3. fish not wised up on your bait

Making your own is good, for one you know it's fresh and yes you're right Geoff it can help you stay one step a head because you can tweak it if and when it needs it. I've been making my own boilies for a while (tweaked internet recipe) and I think it is so much more rewarding than just grabbing something out the freezer in the tackel shop. It can be a bit of a messy task but once I've made a batch I can't wait to use them! Otter flavour, made with real otter tail! ;D
