Just an update from Topcliffe. The agenda for Harrogate planning committee has been published for 28th October (they meet every two weeks) and Topcliffe Weir is not mentioned. So still waiting. The video on you tube by Charleyfarley is being well received and shows the plans in real light. Thank you Charley Farley ! The latest report from the Landscape Dept at HBC is against the scheme. Further news will be published on the FB and twitter accounts and also our blog. Thank you for your support.

Great video that Tom,hope you did better than me after I left. The report from the Landscape Dept. at Harrogate council must be a blow to the developers. What sway do they have with the full planning dept I wonder? Planning Officers are a law to themselves, just look at N. Yorks fiasco over the incinerator at Allerton Park, they make it up as they go along.

Update re proposed hydro at Topcliffe:- we have just learnt that the plans will NOT be put in front of the committee on the 9th December.
There is a change to the plans which HBC to have to inform all parties involved for further comment. The amended plans should be up on the HBC web site this afternoon. As soon as we know more we shall advise. Thanks as always for your support.

Just had a look at the plans, the things huge and a blot on the landscape. They must be worried about the noise, but decking over it? Is that any sort of solution. Thanks for keeping us informed. Eddie.
