Don't kid yourself fella there would be a good take up up to replace them, ive no doubt about that ! There should be a limit of years for the presidency of the club and then a forced change to keep away from what we have now an us and them situation . Time for the chaps at the top to be thanked for their time and then replaced and move on in a new direction an all inclusive direction not a feather your own nest I'm alright jack club we find ourselves with now ! ..

firstly let me say i dont fish carpvale, i buy a leeds book, but not a moormonkton permit. The problem with carpvale was always going to be policing. The 3 lakes hold a lot of fish, which to some people means pound notes.I dont know what the answer is to our problem. but I do know that the answer is not a bwb key .That would leave the water unprotected every night.Any Tom thingy or Harry can buy a bwb key.It offers little protection to serious thieves, only a slight deterrent.Sandwath has a bwb key , yet has been rustled on a few occasions do you?..? want the fish in moor monkton to vanish the same way? MoorMonkton is a valuable asset , it also raises good income, but it is unfortunately a high overhead operation in its current form

Looks I have become number one villain in this just by honestly answering questions from members, never mind that's me unlogged. Graham , you a villain , far from it !!! I think you might be misinterpreting the posts mate . . . Always a potential problem with the written word. I'm sure everyone on here knows you are Leeds ASA through and through and have the interests of ALL members at heart. At least with the figures available we can try and put forward a logical Argument for our case. Like you , I don't fish MMP more than half a dozen times a year and when I do it is through the day on a Tuesday or Thursday so I couldn't PERSONALLY care less what the opening times are , but what does frustrate me as a Committee member is the injustice to the 75% of non - affiliated members who don't have any means of expressing their dissatisfaction other than waiting for the AGM . All the best Dave R I maybe being a bit naieve but I thought this forum was the place for those members who are not members of a fishing club to express their views. I thought the club officials would look at this regularly and take notice of what is said on here. If they don’t what is the point of even discussing things on here as all it does is seem to wind people up and upset people when it is going to achieve nothing anyway. If nobody from the club takes any notice of what is said on here how do members who are not part of a club voice their concerns. Im confused but at least ive worked out how to use the quote icon

Unfortunately Graham is the only official from the amalgamation who regularly monitors and participates as far as I am aware. He kindly keeps us informed of the shenanigans at hq and mmp and gets a minority of members giving him grief (unreservedly).
Maybe the way to express displeasure of the way Moor Monkton Pools is managed would be to post directly on the said venues own Facebook page ?

I for one are not blaming Graham in the slightest I know and have heard about the work and time he puts in for the club and also some of the other committee lads and delegates who want the best for the club. Then theirs some who are just looking after their own interests at the cost of club . Now Graham I know your the only one who answers the question on the forum or can find the answers out for us,I have already asked two and none have been answered has the electronic fence been agreed and passed by the committe and if so how much is it going to cost ?? And another quick question if the gate goes ahead. You mentioned before that you was worried about people getting locked in ,so obviously it's going to have a automatic time locking device fitted ,why couldn't this be set for 10pm in the height of summer .Then they no need for baliff to be traveling back to Leeds every night and seems a simple solution !! Hope you can answer these Graham if not can anybody else ,Thanks in advance . Cabbo

Hi, agree with Cabbo regards thieves. Could put a non BWB lock on, sell keys for it to members. 24 hr survallance, camera's etc, better options but prob costly.
Cheers Bob

replace all at the top then have a good look at the books is the way forward then keep everything out in the open where it belongs not in the hands of a chosen few who can't help themselves from making it all about them !! . Think yourselves lucky you could have got another new clubhouse roof if the powers that be diddn't panic buy carpvagas to get the money out of reach is a tale that ive heared . i think its about time these big contracts and deals like the otter fences and carpvagas are looked at in detail by the delegates instead of just a few at the top throwing tens of thousands of pounds here there and everywhere. im not saying anything dodgy is going on at the top but a lot of money has been spent in the last few years and when you hear stories about lads on £100 a day turning up at dinnertime to help out on the otter fences it grates a bit so maybe a bit more transparency is needed especially now there is no hiding from the members with the rise of social media. Maybe its time for all including jgpark to call it a day and let some new blood take control of the club to safeguard its future.. I think your going a bit far there springer wanting heads to roll, off and on I have been in the club for three decades and in that time I have not seen or heard of any crazy goings on at the top, mybe a few decisions are questionable at times but overall the top dogs that be have the club wellbeing at heart. Would I want to be down in leeds hq making the club run would I hell, them boys put hundreds if not thousands of hours into the club. I for one would say keep up the good work and thanks for the time you all put into the club.

Regarding security, preventing theft etc very difficult if the thieves are determined. I would have thought however, having members on the waters until say 10pm fishing would help in protecting them.

No pal no money in it , but I will gladly put in a quote for the clubhouse roof when that old chestnut pops it's ugly head again . No point trying to turn this on on me to take the flack away from those that are frittering your money away we are talking about 100s of thousands of pounds here spent in haste without so much as a solid business plan not penny's so don't try and make light of it because its scandalous . All that money spent and not one good idea on how to go forward , automatic security gates and cctv , Jesus Christ you old buggers go from one calamity to the next . I'm out now flower but I watch with anticipation for the next howler .
