wahaay Look at that one a PB trout Nice to get down there today and pick up a few tips from ya. Gonna be my first real foray on a River tomorrow but it was a real treat for you to let me play that trout to the net. A real youtube moment when you go through all the bits on how to set up the tackle cast in and then explain the ledger only to have a little trout oblige it's self to the hook almost on cue. See you in the morning fella Liptugga Bubba

This is awful news, to go out for a days pleasure on the river and not return. The banks are very dodgy and with the amount of clothing needed to keep warm, you'd have a job to get out. Makes you think, maybe you shouldn't just look at your peg for were to catch fish but were and how would you get out! Not having a dig but what were these guys doing so close to the weir in a boat.

Great reports bl1ndfsh. Will your pb brown trout count cos it is not the season for trout? ( march 25 to sept 30th ) Dont see why not Do the trout know there not supposed to make a grab for the bait It's not like he was out there with the intentions of catching a trout.

Hope you dont mind us jumping on your thread bl1ndfsh but I know you like anything Airie. A quick walk into city centre this morning myself and Paul McBrinn only one set of gear and a loaf of bread between us. Get comfy Paul to chuck in first. First chuck and he's in. One mint Chub My go next. They are getting bigger on this length. Bit of a suprise next for Paul on a lump of bread. I caught my first ever fish on the Aire bang opposite where we fished today over 40yr ago, at that time the canal joined into the river but has since been bricked up. Today we were throwing the feeder over to the willows that have grown in front of the bricked up arches and ended our couple of hour stint with eight chub for about 20lb and the single brownie around 2lb Only the city centre separating us today and Thwaites Mill so things should only get better. Our spottie thing didn't count either. ;D Regards Steve
