'Your right Bubbs, the fish don't follow the rules do they' That is no excuse for anglers not following them - do you think you are above the ea rules? Most anglers are brighter than their quarry. Use bread and cheesepaste and go for the chub as mentioned by previous club anglers. You seemed to follow up your trout catching methods again. Get a fly rod if you want a challenge - in season that is - sorry can't get excited about your catch. Go for the chub they are a far more worthwhile and legal quarry.

So let me get this right If lets say the only bait a trout would take is maggot but then the only Bait a chub would take is maggot then in your eyes use something else so you dont target the trout. Sorry fella your a bit fruit loops there. were has he flauted the EA rules he was coarse fishing ...i dont see anywere saying he was targeting trout do you. so with that you show me WERE IS THE RULE BREAKING IN HIS POST. you sound a bit elitest in your final comment

Another interesting question you may have with the ea bailiff is to prove that you weren't fishing for trout when you display pictures of them from more than one session. Don't think it would take the greatest lawyer to find you guilty as charged in an unlwful (ea words) persuit. I can see it now.We have here mi lord exhibits a,b and c of a chap so happy to show his out of season captures- where does he live mi lord. I don't dispute we all catch trout out of season - especially when fishing for grayling but we release them quickly as we know they are out of season- hopefully in the net. We don't hold them up on a public website to have their pics taken. I question whether the guy knew they were out of season anyway otherwise how could anybody be so stupid - doh!

never mind changing tactics to suit someone else mate, your doing nowt wrong fishing maggot and caster at this time of year. target the barbel with a halli pellet and you will probably catch even bigger trout. shame people like gcb dont put as much effort into stopping those cheating sods at places like topcliff fishing a swimfeeder and double lobworm in the close season pretending to be fishing for trout but realy fishing for a whisker. keep posting mates nice to see some river anglers enjoy themselves.
