Now then lads fished below bridge yesterday had two chub best 4lb , grayling to 1 1/2 lb and the usual brownies all on stick float. my father fished just above me and had 1 chub 4lb and also grayling to 1 1/2 lb and brownies of course on feeder. A very nice day about 20 fish in total and for a change no wind. Cheers Graham

Can't wait to get fishing at Middleham meself but we're going to leave it a while till we can take the van to make a weekend of it at the Pheasant Inn in Harmby.
(hopefully that'll be before it's trout/worm only).
Not been able to get out for 2 weeks (except for 3 short chubbing sessions on the Aire in Leeds - 3 blanks !!) so hopefully will be heading out to the Wharfe this Friday, trotting for grayling, which should surely be their usual obliging selves and break the duck for 2015 ?!

Thermals on, sarnies made, flask done, gear loaded in the car . . . . Best just check the water level see if it's any better than the 0.91 it was last night ! 3 METRES Ah well , best put the kettle on and think of a plan B

Ah well, not a bad few hours on the Wharfe as an alternative , Until that started rising at a rate of knots as well . . . managed a few nice Grayling and a lovely day to be out in the fresh crisp air

The Wharfe's not gonna be fishable tomorrow looking at the forecast is it?
And I spent half an hour gathering a mean selection of worms this afternoon as well.
[edit - turns out it was very fishable on Friday and much good sport was had with the ever-obliging winter grayling - thanks for advice Dave ]
