What down today for a couple of hours this morning, blank, nice work on the pegs though.
On the gate it says there is a planning appication for 10 ponds, are they setting up a fish farm down there or something?

River four and a half foot up yesterday but there were a few barbel feeding. Some pegs unfishable but some were perfect when it dropped down to about 3 foot up.
had the place totally to ourselves all day. When I walked down to Horseshoe at about 11 a.m. the only tracks in the fresh mud were one deer and one fox.

Worked out yesterday, while watching the rod tip, that I've now fished at least 28 different pegs from Hammerton down to the Horseshoe Bend and only scratched the surface. On the Nidd in total this year I'm on well over 50 pegs, and nearly every one very different from the last.
What a river!

That's quite an impressive stat Nige and I'm sure it's the way to get to know a river. How many of us go and catch a fish in a peg and guess which peg we fish next time !!!
