What a scream! These are some great posts guys. Hoping to get out to try kirkstal rd tomorrow, fished city centre last week but could only manage a trout, still it put up a good scrap and was most welcome on a cold day.

Thaught it was just me being useless Steve but it seems we both were! Went on a chub crawl behind morrisons this aft, fished 5 great looking swims without a touch. Even Daz's secret grubs couldn't come up with the goods! No injuries to report, although my landing net took a bit of a battering at the hands of some brambles!

Well it's some comfort to hear that even the big boys, Frim and Kpkh struggle at times ! The good news is, the consultant has said I didn't lose too much blood and I should be able to cast a waggler again by February ;D I've just got to go back and see the doc again next Tuesday to try and sort out my recurring trauma nightmares, constantly falling out of bed syndrome and the small issue of tourettes which I've started with, since my freefalling adventures. Think I might try one of these Sunday KP matches for a bit of relaxation - are the pegs easy to get to

great thread guys it inpsired me to get down on the stretch near me yestererday. i've fished this part of the aire probably a dozen times without so much as a bite but yesterday was different and two my suprise i had a couple of bites in the first hour which i was about half an hour late and missed them both. the river then went quiet so i had a move further down stream and within seconds my rod was nearly pulled in and i was into my first chub of the year a nice little fish about 3lb. over the next 4 cast i had 4 more fish which i would have been more than happy to skip off home with 5 fish under my belt. then for the next two hours i had the reactions of a 95 year old woman and missed loads of bites. i then got a phone call from the boss telling me i had to be home for my tea ust as i put the phone down the rod pulled off the rest as an anrgy chub tried to take my rod with it as it set of towards leeds at 100mph i managed to chang its mind and not long after had the biggsest chub i've caught to date.i'd forgoten my scales so i will not guess how big it was but it was big. thats enough rambling from me and thanks for inspiring me to give the aire another go

Nice one wrighty, Still reeling from my blank the other day i got the Sunday morning phone call from Paul to say he was going for a chuck, 10 mins later i was on the bank and thought another blank was coming when i saw this lot. Shouldn't have worried he had them lined up This was his eigth, it was one a bung. Took me ten seconds to boot him off his box and swap camera for his rod and blue stilton. He started at 11.00 i finished at just gone 2.00 ;D 17 chub for just over 35lb "the blanks forgotten" It shows that a little rise in temp is all thats needed, or maybe the canoes stirred it up
